Hair stylist wont bleach my hair advice needed please?

i really want to have blonde hair ive been wanting it for years i dyed my hair black a while ago and regret it before i was mid brown


i was told to grow the black out so i gave it about ten months and today went to see if theyd bleach it i went to 4 stylists all but one said no (the salon that said they would are supposedly the best around but also the most exspensive)


she said she would bleach it first but then said she'd only give me highlghts and gradually do more and more highlights untill it was all blonde


its 拢50 pound a time for highlights


i dont even want them! i think black hair with blonde would look a bit stupid so should i go and just tell her i want it bleached or should i get the highlights or just bleach my hair myself which would be the cheapest?


also my hair is in great condition is'nt dry at all so should be ok with the bleach

your hair will fry if you go from black to blonde.


you can use a color cleanser... removes dye and other products that have been used on hair... restores hair to its natural state.





you may need a few processes. which can take time and money!


or you can do what i did. have them do a full head of blonde highlights. make them very thin and close!... then schedule again... more highlights. it may take awhile but if you have a good stylist... they should have no problem.

i did it myself but bcos of all the red colour it wouldn't budge from ginger-y yellow then as i kept bleaching it just went a weird 'light' colour ='[


spent so much on bleaches too.


Use manic panic if you're going to bleach tho =]

Do it yourself. Go to Sally Beauty Supply and buy Loreal Super Blue Creme Oil Hair Lightener, Loreal Orear 20 vol. developer, gloves, and an applicator bottle. That stuff is the best; it lightened my hair from light red to platinum in less than half an hour, no toner needed. It comes with three packets of powder lightener; I used 2 but you should probably use 3 since your hair is darker. If you end up with brassy tones, then a toner from Sally should easily fix that. Good luck!
Did you ask the reason why she wouldn't dye it? More often than not its because the bleach will do extensive damage to your hair and so they do not want to be held responsible.





I would listen to the stylists, the ones who refuse clients are often the ones who know better!
